Cain had a limited show career, but was successful during his time in the ring. In 1998 he was awarded:
Best Puppy of Breed - Adelaide Royal Show
Best Puppy of Breed - Melbourne Royal show - was in the final cut of 4 for Best Puppy in Group
Best Poodle Puppy of the Year (all varieties) - Poodle Club of SA Inc.
In 1999 he was awarded:
Best of Breed and Junior in Group at the Canberra Royal Show.
Cain was a multiple Best Exhibit in Group and Best Puppy in Group winner. He gained his show title in style with a Best Exhibit in Group under respected All Breeds judge, the late Mrs. Val Sass.
Due to work commitments I was not able to show Cain much into Junior and he was clipped off to become Matthew's tuff dog!?
Cain was tragically taken from us by a heart attack after bloat. What a shock, Saturday he was helping us garden - and Sunday he was in heaven.
Matthew misses his "Tiger" terribly and I miss my 'little man'.
RIP Cain XXX
Thanks to Jacqui McLeay (Kirada Poodles) for all of her help and guidance when I was starting out with cain. Elaine Wallis, your advice and knowledge is still put to use today and I thank you for that. Special thanks must go to Margie Nottle-Justice (Remkyn Poodles) for everything! Your advice, help and support has been invaluable. You have become a great friend not only to myself, but to Matthew as well.
